This project was one of our favorites. A sweet friend asked us to help make her bathroom more wheelchair accessible and she wanted to decorate it with a coastal theme. My own mother is in a wheelchair and I remember when she came home from the hospital and we realized that homes are not designed for wheelchairs! We were eager to help. This friend has since gone to be with the Lord and I’m thankful we could serve her and enjoy her inspiring spirit in the face of adversities.
Her bathroom was all neutral colors and the double master vanities did not allow her any space for her feet to fit under the sink or have a space for getting ready.
Once we gutted the vanities then we were able to hang two floating vanities and we attached them with a butcher block design. The paint color and back splash tile and the mirror frame were all added to create the coastal theme!
I LOVE this sign!
You can’t see it, but we also added an outlet under this portion!
She found these beadboard switch covers that matched the beadboard detail we added along the walls. Such a lovely detail!
Here is a side by side of the changes: Of course, we had to take dad a soda one day….or at least the portion of a soda!
Whatever your bathroom needs, call us and we can work out a plan together!
